Penn Entertainment Names Former Disney Exec LaBerge as CTO

Penn Entertainment has announced its latest appointment: Aaron LaBerge, former president of The Walt Disney Company, will become the company's new chief technology officer. Laberge will take up his duties on July 1 and will be director of technology and interactive products.

Disney Experience

Aaron LaBerge gained his experience working for The Walt Disney Company for almost six years. There he held a number of key positions, including President of Disney Entertainment and ESPN, and CTO of Disney Media and Entertainment Distribution.

Professional path

Before joining Disney, LaBerge held senior positions at ESPN, including executive vice president and chief technology officer. He was also co-founder and CEO of software company Fanzter.

ESPN Bet and new challenges

At Penn, LaBerge will work to develop the ESPN Bet brand in the US. This $1.5 billion partnership between Penn and ESPN aims to create a unique sports betting experience for American fans.
