GambleAware has announced a record voluntary donation of £49.5 million for 2023/24, which will support programs and research to tackle problem gambling.

Funds raised by GambleAware will be used to expand programs to combat gambling addiction, including public health campaigns, educational programs and research in this area.

Donors and Their Role

The UK's four largest gambling operators have made significant contributions to this amount, demonstrating their commitment to supporting social responsibility and tackling problem gambling.

GambleAware is focused on developing a national gambling support network and providing access to free advice and treatment across the country through the National Gambling Helpline.

The organization is currently moving to a new funding model, in discussions with the Gambling Commission and the Department for Culture, Media and Sport, to ensure the sustainability and effectiveness of programs to combat gambling addiction.
