Cordish Gaming Group, the gaming division of The Cordish Companies, announced the appointment of Jamie Williams as Director of Sales for the upcoming Live! Casino and hotel Louisiana. The move is part of the company's strategy to expand its market power and create a significant addition to the Shreveport-Bossier gaming market.
The $270 million project is Live! The Louisiana Casino and Hotel is scheduled to open in early 2025. It will be the first land-based casino in the Shreveport-Bossier market and the first Live! in Louisiana. The property, being built on the site of the former Diamond Jacks Casino Hotel, will include a 550-room hotel and a 25,000-square-foot Event Center.
The role of Jamie Williams
Jamie Williams will be responsible for strategic sales and marketing initiatives for the new hotel and events center. His responsibilities include overseeing a team of traders and product developers, as well as collaborating with the food and entertainment customer experience team.
