IGT plans to expand its sports betting operations in Wisconsin with a new deal with the Santa Cruz Chippewa Indians.

According to the agreement, the IGT PlaySports platform will be used in the retail division of the St. Croix Casino at Turtle Lake, St. Croix Casino in Danbury and St Croix Casino in Hertel.

In addition, IGT PlaySports' QuickBet kiosks will also be installed at each location.

Lauren Benjamin, general manager of St. Croix, said: “Our agreement with IGT will allow us to surprise our guests with localized betting offers and top-notch player experiences at our bookmakers, as well as increase interest in The Book and Red Zone.

“Sports betting has given our casinos new energy and traffic and we look forward to building on this success with IGT’s proven technology and experienced team.”

Meanwhile, Joe Asher, IGT President of Sports Betting, added: “As a trusted sports betting partner in Wisconsin and beyond, IGT PlaySports looks forward to helping Santa Cruz Casino increase player engagement and bookmaker profitability with our technology and services.

“With our proven PlaySports solution, IGT delivers what today's sports fans value most in a bookmaker: choice, convenience, and reliable and intuitive technology.”

Last month, IGT announced that it was conducting a strategic review of its Global Gaming and PlayDigital holdings, with Deutsche Bank handling the process.

The review will likely end in the sale of the brands, with Sidley Austin and White & Case acting as legal counsel in the process.
