Mindway AI, Ecogra and CasinoReviews.net conducted a study on harmful gambling behavior called "Bet on Awareness". As part of this campaign, players' gaming habits were studied and the risks associated with them were assessed.
Experts say: A look from the inside
In May, we spoke with representatives of companies participating in the campaign in the issue of Trafficology. Mindway AI CEO Rasmus Kjaergaard outlined data collection methods, including the use of a card game developed using the company's Gamalyze tool.
Kjaergaard explained: "Gamalyze is designed to help players understand their risk levels and make informed decisions while playing... It's a gamified approach to self-awareness, making it more fun and effective than traditional player questionnaires."
Analysis of the Results: Discoveries and Conclusions
Of the 236 games started, 181 were analyzed using Gamalyze. Various factors have been studied, including sensitivity to losses and gains, persistence, and response to winning frequency. Each game was given a risk rating and players were asked to rate their own level of risk for comparison.
Decisions Made
The Bet on Awareness campaign found that of the 181 games analyzed, 94 were rated as high risk (50%+) and the remaining 87 as lower risk. Most games fell within the score range of -10 to +30, indicating that players tend to overestimate their level of risk.
CasinoReviews.net Product Owner, Nikoleta Kuncheva, said: "This campaign has identified critical areas where action needs to be taken. By working together, we can ensure players have the resources they need to make informed decisions and maintain healthy gaming habits."
