Continent 8 Technologies, a hosting, connectivity, cloud and security company that specializes in games, has added North Carolina as its newest launch in the state.

This will happen before early 2024, when North Carolina will allow legal online sports betting for the first time.

In June, Gov. Roy Cooper signed House Bill 347, which allows 12 bookmaker operators — in addition to the three land-based tribal bookmakers already allowed under the law — to provide online and mobile betting to players in the Old Northern State.

Continent 8 has adopted the strategy across North America and is currently active in 27 states. This is to ensure that customers can get started immediately.

In addition, operators in North Carolina will have access to all Continent 8 solutions.

Justin Cosnett, Chief Product Officer of Continent 8 Technologies, said: "We have been aggressive in our approach to going to market in the US because it is vital that carriers can access the infrastructure solutions they need before markets open so they are ready to go from day one."

Nick Nally, COO of Continent 8 Technologies, said: “North Carolina is going to be an important online sports betting market and we know our customers are targeting it.

“Now we can offer our suite of iGaming hosting, connectivity, cloud and security solutions to these operators who can be sure they are fully compliant with the requirements set by the regulator.”
