GamCare, the leading problem gambling charity, has announced the appointment of Tim Hodgetts as Director of Clinical Operations. Hodgetts will begin his duties in August 2024. Professional experience of Tim Hodgetts
Tim Hodgetts has over 22 years' experience in the health and social care sector. A significant part of his career was spent in the National Health Service (NHS), where he held various senior management positions. One of the key positions was as Deputy Director of Integrated Care Services at Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust.
In his new role, Tim Hodgetts will work closely with the GamCare leadership team. He will be responsible for the strategic oversight and operational management of the charity's clinical and support services. His responsibilities also include running the National Gambling Hotline.

Strengthening support in the workplace
Last month, GamCare called for greater workplace support for employees affected by gambling. It comes after YouGov research found that only 9% of workplaces have policies to support problem gambling. Tim Hodgetts' new role includes tasks to improve these indicators and develop new support strategies.
