In June 2024, New Jersey recorded gaming industry revenue of $491 million, up 7.4% year-over-year. This growth brings the state's total annual gaming industry revenue to $3.06 billion. The new announcement from the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement confirms the positive momentum in the sector, which spans three key segments: casinos, sports betting and internet gaming.

Casino income

New Jersey casino-hotel revenue was $244.1 million in June 2024, up 1% from June 2023 revenue of $241.6 million. Although this increase is small, it still indicates stability in the sector. In the first six months of 2024, total casino revenue in New Jersey reached $1.36 billion.

Gross sports betting revenue was $60.1 million in June 2024, down 9.5% from $66.4 million in June 2023. While no reason was given for the decline, it is important to note that for the first six months of 2024, sports betting revenue was still up 30% year-over-year to $573.1 million.

Internet Games Revenue Growth

Internet gaming revenue was $186.8 million in June 2024, up 25.2% from June 2023 when revenue was $149.3 million. The segment saw significant growth in the first six months of 2024, growing 21.4% year-over-year to reach $1.13 billion.

Revenue from the gaming industry in New Jersey has also increased in previous months. In May 2024, revenue also increased by 8.3% compared to May last year. These positive trends confirm New Jersey's active participation in the U.S. national gaming market and its potential for continued growth.
