Star Entertainment has announced that it has successfully resolved system performance issues affecting electronic gaming machines and tables at three of its properties and is preparing for a full resumption of operations.

Following notification on July 15 that electronic slot machines and table games were experiencing disruptions at The Star, Star Entertainment reported that it had successfully resolved the issues that arose as a result of upgrading the cashless games on its machines. The company worked with Konami to minimize the impact and restore normal operations.

Consequences and precautions

The cessation of EGM and ETG was a temporary measure to ensure compliance with gambling safety regulations and standards, highlighting the importance of complying with the law and protecting the interests of customers.

Star also announced the appointment of a new chief financial officer and general manager in Sydney, having received all necessary regulatory approvals for the positions. Steve McCann has been appointed Group CEO and Managing Director, marking the next step in the company's strategy to strengthen its leadership team.

Star Entertainment is now focused on restoring normal operations and continuing its operations with confidence in its future prospects.
