A recent anonymous tipster has exposed a massive scam that led to the firing of several casino employees. According to Cruise Law News, the tipster, who identified himself as a Carnival Glory crew member, said that two dealers were able to successfully pull off the scam.
According to the tipster, the two dealers from Peru used a variety of methods to defraud casinos out of thousands of dollars. They were experienced workers and were not closely supervised by their manager, who was more focused on new hires. As a result, they allegedly began "stealing chips and improperly paying out winnings at the roulette table."
The dealers were said to have rigged the roulette bets by adding chips of different denominations or changing the bets. In blackjack games, they were said to have paid out bets that were losing, added money to the house bets, or not collected the losing bets.
In other cases, the scammers allegedly failed to register purchases or used the minimum amounts and pocketed the remaining money. At the same time, they tried to hide their actions by controlling the win/loss odds at the gaming tables and maintaining a constant balance.
The scam went on for several months until one of the supervisors noticed that the dealer had not collected a player’s losing hand. A report was filed and an investigation was launched, including reviewing surveillance footage.
According to Carnival Glory, the scam lasted for three months and resulted in the firing of one casino manager and six supervisors. However, according to an anonymous tipster, no criminal charges were filed against the two dealers who conspired with several players to defraud the casino. The tipster criticized Carnival Glory's actions, noting that while "innocent staff" were punished, the guilty "lived happily ever after" because the money was not returned and the police were not called.
According to the tipster, Carnival Glory managers "cut hours by making comments like 'forgot to check out on time'." He also criticized the company's human resources department, saying that "if you speak up, you will be fired."
