Las Vegas, famous for its entertainment, is also known for its crimes involving fraud and robbery. One common type of scam is the so-called "trick rolling," where the victim is lured into a situation where they can be robbed. These crimes are usually committed by prostitutes who then rob the customers after providing their services.

A recent case in Las Vegas has attracted the attention of law enforcement. A woman, whose initials are given as M.F., is accused of stealing $40,000 from a casino patron. Authorities said the incident occurred in June of this year, and the suspect has now been arrested and charged.

According to the indictment, M.F. stole items valued at over $25,000 but under $100,000. This is a felony and is a Category B felony. The penalty for such a violation is one to ten years in prison, restitution of the stolen property, and a fine of up to $10,000.

However, it is worth noting that the charges at this stage are merely allegations that have yet to be proven in court. The trial is scheduled for early December.

KLAS, citing court records, reports that M.F. has previously been charged with prostitution, trespassing, and aggressive solicitation of services. However, it is unknown whether these previous charges resulted in a conviction.

Arrest by Warrant: How It Happened

The incident that resulted in M.F.'s arrest occurred on June 12, 2024. According to investigators, the woman met the man at a casino on the Strip. They drank together, after which the man invited her to his home.

The police report does not specify whether there was sexual relations between them. However, the next morning, the man discovered that a significant amount of money had disappeared from his accounts. According to the victim, at the time of the incident, he had about $17,000 in his bank account, but after meeting the woman, the balance was negative - minus $6,500. In addition, about $5,000 was missing from his Venmo account, and $17,500 from his cryptocurrency account. Another $600 in cash was also missing.

The man could not remember all the events of that night exactly, but he claimed that he would be able to identify the woman if he saw her again. Police identified the suspect using surveillance footage.

When law enforcement tried to contact the woman by phone and invited her to the police station, she refused to appear. As a result, an arrest warrant was issued and M.F. was arrested last month.
