A man from Thonatosassa, Florida, named Jamarr Luther, won an incredible $1 million in the $1,000,000 A Year for Life lottery. Luther purchased his ticket at a 7-Eleven on West Hillsborough Avenue in Tampa, not expecting to win one of the largest prizes. The retailer received a $2,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

The odds of winning such a prize in this lottery are 1 in 185,709. The game started with 234 $1 million prizes, and after Luther's win, there are 90 such prizes available for participants.

The lucky winner of the winning ticket has already visited the Tampa lottery office to claim his prize. Instead of taking the annual payout, Luther opted to take the lump sum cash, giving him $640,000 in his pocket.

The $1,000,000 A Year For Life Instant Draw ticket costs $50, and players can win prizes ranging from $100 to $1 million annually. There were two top prizes at launch, and now there is only one left. The odds of winning the top prize are 1 in 21,727,995.
