Man Arrested for Indecent Behavior at Shreveport Casino

The latest incident occurred at a Shreveport casino early in the morning on Sept. 14. According to Shreveport police, officers were called to the scene at approximately 5:08 a.m. for a report of indecent behavior in the 400 block of Clyde Fant Memorial Parkway.

The suspect was identified as 45-year-old Lucas Burns, who attempted to flee the scene. However, police quickly caught up with him in a nearby garage and detained him. Burns is now charged with indecent exposure. A police spokesman stressed that such behavior will not be tolerated in any city, public or private establishment.

Under Louisiana law, indecent exposure carries a variety of penalties, including fines, probation, community service, or even imprisonment. Factors such as prior criminal history, location of the crime, and the presence of minor witnesses may be taken into account when determining the sentence. Shreveport police said they will take all necessary measures to ensure the safety of local establishments, including casinos.

This incident comes shortly after a similar incident in August at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, when 27-year-old New Yorker Abdul Rahman Zaina was arrested for indecent exposure in the poker room.

According to police, Zaina refused to leave the casino when asked to do so by the staff. He then unzipped his pants and exposed his genitals to other patrons. Zaina caused a scandal that ended with his arrest after he threw a bottle at a casino dealer and security guard, prompting police intervention.

Both incidents highlight the importance of casino security, especially in light of the growing number of such establishments. As the gambling industry continues to expand, casino security issues remain a pressing concern for law enforcement and casino managers, who are trying to balance customer comfort with necessary safety measures.
