Despite entering the 2024 season as a Super Bowl contender, the Baltimore Ravens have already lost both of their games. Now, they need to step up their game and try to beat the Dallas Cowboys. The Texans have not been great in 2024, but at least they have one win. Can Dallas win again on September 22?
Are the Baltimore Ravens ready to get their first win of the 2024 season?
The Baltimore Ravens are, without a doubt, one of the best teams in the NFL. Last season, they reached the Divisional Playoffs but lost to the eventual Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship. Their quarterback Lamar Jackson was named the regular season MVP.
Jackson remains on the roster, as do most of Baltimore's key players from last season. Plus, the legendary Derrick Henry has joined them as a running back in 2024. Knowing this, one would expect the team to dominate this season. However, the start of the season was unsuccessful - two losses in a row.
In Week 1, they lost 27-20 on the road to the Kansas City Chiefs, which was expected. But in Week 2, they sensationally lost 26-23 to the Las Vegas Raiders, despite leading by 10 points at one point in the fourth quarter.
Dallas Cowboys lick wounds after Week 2 loss
The Dallas Cowboys opened the 2024 season with a 33-17 road win over the Cleveland Browns. They put on an impressive performance, which led many to expect them to continue their strong performance in Week 2 against the New Orleans Saints. The game was played at their home arena, but the visitors shocked everyone by winning 44-19.
Quarterback Dak Prescott completed 27 of 39 passes for 293 yards and one touchdown. However, his mistakes led to two interceptions. The rest of the team was also lackluster, with Dallas' running backs accounting for just 190 yards and no touchdowns.
The team's main problem was its defense, which allowed 44 points, the second-worst mark in the last year.
Baltimore Ravens vs. Dallas Cowboys Prediction
Baltimore needs to step up their game ASAP. Beating the Cowboys in Dallas is no easy task, but for the Ravens, it's an opportunity they can't miss. They haven't won in Dallas since 2008, but we think they can do it this time on Sunday.
