Sports analytics and live streaming specialist Stats Perform has secured an exclusive deal to distribute betting video rights to the Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL) and the Scottish Women’s Premier League (SWPL). The deal marks the company’s first foray into providing video content related to Scottish football.
Under the terms of the long-term deal, Stats Perform will distribute match video to licensed international bookmakers outside the UK. The partnership covers not only top-flight matches for men and women, but also games in the Championship and League One, as well as tournaments such as the Scottish Cup, SPFL Trust Cup and SWPL Cup.
The video content will be available via Stats Perform’s Bet LiveStreams service. The length of the new agreement was not disclosed.
A positive development for Scottish football
SPFL CEO Neil Doncaster praised the new partnership, saying it would allow fans to benefit from a “wealth of innovation” in sports betting. “The Stats Perform team and technology are trusted by the world’s biggest sports federations and billions of fans,” he said. “Their track record as pioneers in live streaming for licensed bookmakers means our fans will also benefit from this wealth of innovation.”
SWPL Director Fiona MacIntyre added that the partnership represented an important step and another milestone for the SWPL. “This is the first partnership of its kind in women’s football in Scotland and we are delighted to be working with Stats Perform,” she said.
Stats Perform Head of Betting Andrew Ashenden also expressed his delight at the new agreement, saying the inclusion of the SPFL and SWPL tournaments significantly strengthens the Bet LiveStreams offering. "The SPFL Group, including the SPFL and SWPL tournaments, brings another significant line of high-quality betting rights to our portfolio," he said.
