Introducing ClubWPT Gold: A New Stage in the World of Poker

The WPT is set to take a major step this year by announcing its intention to focus on the raffle side of online poker with the launch of ClubWPT Gold. The platform is expected to go live in early 2025, with its first major event, a $5 million freeroll, set to be the main focus of the new platform launch in December.
A Massive Event with 2,000 Players
The new ClubWPT Gold platform will operate on a raffle basis and is legally available in most US states. This move will allow the WPT to adapt to new trends in social gaming and offer players the opportunity to participate in cash games while complying with raffle laws.
Around 2,000 players are expected to attend the Las Vegas event, all aiming to win the $1 million top prize. Approximately a quarter of all participants will receive a share of the $5 million, plus a second chance to win 100 free tickets to the $10,400 WPT World Championship event. The event will begin on December 14 and will consist of three starting days.
When the remaining players reach 297, the freeroll will transform into a Mystery Bounty with a prize pool of $720,000, including two $100,000 prizes. All nine finalists are guaranteed to earn at least $20,000 and will be eligible to enter the Mystery Bounty with a top prize of $200,000.
How to Get Golden Passports
Players from the US and Canada who live in states and provinces where the new platform is available will be able to win a seat in this unique freeroll by registering and creating a free account. By filling out a special field with a promo code from ambassadors like Brad Owen or Ethan “Rampage” Yau, they will be able to enter sweepstakes and contests where they will be guaranteed to win a Gold Passport.
Each player can receive one Gold Passport and enjoy a set of prizes and access to the exclusive Gold Lounge. WPT will also offer players who have not yet registered the opportunity to activate their account on the spot and receive their merchandise.
ClubWPT Gold Results and Future
The event will take place from December 13th to 15th at Wynn Las Vegas, with the opening day scheduled for December 13th. ClubWPT Gold will not require a subscription, and players will be able to participate in real money games and prizes. Upon registration, players will be able to purchase Gold Coins to use in real money play, and will also receive an equivalent amount of Sweeps Coins to enter sweepstakes and tournaments.
The existing ClubWPT site will remain active, charging a monthly fee to access tournaments and games. While plans for a WPT festival in Macau in June 2024 have fallen through, the launch of ClubWPT Gold promises to open up new horizons for poker fans.
