The Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) has suspended the license of Goldwin with effect from 25 September 2024. Goldwin, previously operating under license MGA/B2C/533/2018, is no longer authorized to provide gaming services.

Despite the suspension, the company is required to ensure that players have access to their accounts and refund any outstanding funds in accordance with Maltese law.

The decision was taken by the MGA based on multiple breaches of the Gaming Compliance and Enforcement Rules (S.L. 583.06). The main breaches include actions that pose an immediate threat to the interests of players, as well as failure to comply with obligations towards them.

Goldwin has the right to appeal the decision in accordance with Section 43 of the Gaming Act (Chapter 583 of the Laws of Malta).

It is worth noting that, in addition to this decision, the MGA continues to issue new licenses and recognitions. Thus, in September 2024, LuckyStreak, a live casino service provider, received official recognition from the MGA, allowing it to provide B2B services under Maltese law.
