The absence of leading running back Christian McCaffrey has had a major impact on the offense. Although San Francisco ranks seventh in total yards gained on the ground, the team has managed just four touchdowns this season. Unfortunately, McCaffrey will not return for the game against Seattle, and the 49ers will have to rely on their passing game.
Seattle aims to snap a five-game losing streak against the 49ers
The Seattle Seahawks have failed to win a single game against the 49ers in their last five games. The team, despite good results in the first three weeks, lost their last two games - to the Detroit Lions (42:29) and the New York Giants (29:20). In the match against Detroit, despite three touchdowns from running back Kenneth Walker III and a good game from quarterback Geno Smith, Seattle's defense could not cope with the opponent's offensive power.
The last loss to the New York Giants was due to special teams errors. Despite the opportunity to tie the score late in the game, Seattle was unable to convert a kick on goal, and a Giants player intercepted the ball and scored a touchdown.
