Big Bet Poker LIVE issued a statement of apology to PokerNews and stated that they do not condone this behaviour.

Austin Yu, a cash game player from Los Angeles, and Jason Liu, a Stanford University graduate who worked on Twitter and Facebook, got into a heated argument at a poker table that changed very quickly.

Note. The following video contains vulgar NSFW content. Please look at your own discretion. Due to the graphic nature of the conversation between the two players in question, we have refrained from adding its full context to this article other than the video below.

Liu, who claims to have turned $500 into $50,000 by playing "underground Italian mafia games," announced at the table that he uses hard drugs daily and that he has bipolar disorder. In the hand against Yoo, both opponents held 10-high and lost a $400 pot to "Pot Monster". During the distribution, a rude conversation began between them, which, apparently, turned into an off-stream. Both people have been banned from the show "for now".

Keir Sullivan, who sat between the arguing poker players, told PokerNews that he "just wanted them to shut up so we could get on with the game."

“I just lost a big pot and am now stuck in the night after being on most of the streams,” continued Sullivan, a regular on the show.

Cross the line
According to Big Bet Poker on Reddit, both players got into a physical altercation before security stepped in to separate them. The confrontation was not broadcast live as the cameras stopped rolling so as not to promote physical violence.

A source close to the show issued a statement to PokerNews regarding the incident:

"We regret that this confrontation happened live and closed the stream as soon as we saw it escalate to this level. Our goal is to provide a safe environment for high stakes poker players from all walks of life to have fun time and glorify the game of poker.Currently two involved players are banned from our stream. We hope to make headlines in the future with new ideas, big pots and great competition.Poker trash is one thing, but it crossed the line, which doesn't capture the spirit of what Big Bet Poker is trying to achieve."

Bally's Big Bet Poker LIVE, which takes place at the Tropicana in Las Vegas, is partly a spin-off of the iconic Live at the Bike broadcast that aired for 19 years in Los Angeles at the Parkwest Bicycle Casino.

The show is broadcast live from Trop and then parts of some episodes are later broadcast on Bally Sports, a famous cable sports network. Don't expect to see a vulgar confrontation on cable TV.
