GamCare announced D'Arcy Myers as the new interim CEO.

Myers has experience as an independent philanthropic consultant specializing in effective strategic development and change management for nonprofits.

After serving as the charity's CEO for over 12 years, Myers has demonstrated his leadership by successfully leading multiple charities through the transformation phases.

His accomplishments include his roles with Allergy UK, The Percy Hedley Foundation, TV and Film and The Solicitors Charity.

In addition, he is a key figure as a founding member of the Coalition of Small Charities and has held influential positions as Chairman of the Association of Charities and The Smallwood Trust.

Margot Daley, Chair of the Board of Trustees, said: “I am delighted to welcome D'Arcy to GamCare. His extensive experience will be invaluable to the organization at a time of great change in the sector."

Myers said: “I am delighted to be joining GamCare and supporting our employees and partners in the extremely important work they are doing. I look forward to meeting as many employees, service users and partners as possible in the coming weeks.”

Meanwhile, GamCare urged banks to tighten their gaming bans by raising consumer awareness in June and offered to do so.

In doing so, GamCare demonstrated its commitment to greater awareness and support for vulnerable consumers outside of the block.

The MMA Fan Podcast has also partnered with GamCare to raise awareness of gambling addiction.

Blake Harrison, best known for playing Neil on The Inbetweeners, serves as one of the podcast's co-hosts.
