After overcoming construction delays, the highly anticipated Pawhuska Osage Casino & Hotel is set to finally welcome guests on October 5, 2023. Preceding the official ribbon-cutting ceremony, an exclusive preview for members of the Osage tribe will take place on October 4.
Confirmed Opening Date:The Osage Casinos resort operator announced the opening of the tribal casino facility on August 31, confirming the October 5 opening date. This aligns with previous announcements projecting the opening within this year. The restoration of the building equipment supply chain for both Pawhuska and Bartlesville gaming facilities likely influenced this decision.
Osage Casinos CEO Kimberly Pearson expressed her pride, saying, "This property has been a long time coming. We're so proud to share this beautiful facility with the Pawhuska community and our Nation, and it's amazing to see all the hard work come to fruition."
Located In Heart Of Osage Nation:Situated at the intersection of Highways 60 and 99 in downtown Pawhuska, Oklahoma, the Osage Casino and Hotel marks the completion of the casino development project that commenced on June 15, 2023, in collaboration with the ON government and Gaming Enterprise. The opening date for the Bartlesville casino is yet to be announced.
Hosting Popular Movie Presentation on October 20:In an exciting addition, the Osage Casino & Hotel will host a presentation of Martin Scorsese's "Killers of the Flower Moon" on October 20. Pearson, who witnessed the movie presentation at the United Osages of Southern California gathering in April, arranged this event. It is expected to generate significant interest in the region and attract more visitors to the heart of the Osage Nation.
Pawhuska Keeps the Momentum:The new Pawhuska facility covers an impressive 87,808 square feet, including over 3,000 square feet of event space and a gaming floor featuring approximately 250 gaming machines. Additionally, it offers dining and leisure facilities and a new 47-room hotel with various amenities. The property will provide employment to over 100 people. Once the new property officially opens on October 5, the existing Pawhuska Village casino, in operation for 20 years, will close. However, the legacy it represents will continue.
Pearson emphasized, "At the heart of Osage Casinos is a dedication to supporting our Nation. As Pawhuska continues to expand, this new property is our chance to give back to our people and showcase Osage culture. We're honored to be a part of the momentum taking place in our Nation's capital."
