Fontainebleau Las Vegas, the tallest building in Nevada, is gearing up for its grand opening. While the official opening date is yet to be announced, a recent report in the Las Vegas Review-Journal suggests that it might be set for Wednesday, December 13. What makes this date especially exciting is the rumor that singer Justin Timberlake will kick off the festivities with a private VIP-only show before the venue opens to the public later that night.

This 67-story marvel, situated on the former El Rancho Hotel and Casino site, has been in the works since 2005, with an initial target opening in 2008. However, plans were derailed by the Great Recession and later the impact of COVID-19. In 2021, Koch Industries' real estate investment arm acquired the towering blue structure, partnering with Miami real estate developer Jeffrey Soffer's Fontainebleau Development for the reported $3.7 billion project.

Fontainebleau is set to make waves in the Las Vegas casino scene as the first new casino resort to grace the Strip since Resorts World's debut in June 2021. Boasting an impressive 3,644 hotel rooms and over half a million square feet of convention and meeting space, it will include a massive 105,200-square-foot primary exhibition room.

The resort will feature a vertically integrated casino, similar to the Cosmopolitan, with gaming on the ground floor and retail and dining on the second and third floors. The casino floor will host 1,300 slots, a variety of table games, and a sportsbook spanning approximately 13,000 square feet. Additionally, Fontainebleau's high-limit room will be one of the largest in Las Vegas, covering 18,000 square feet.

Fontainebleau will also be a shopping and dining haven, with 90,000 square feet of retail space housing 35 high-end retailers and 27 upscale dining options, including renowned establishments like Vida and Komodo. Nightlife enthusiasts will have plenty to look forward to as well, with a day club, nightclub (LIV), and a 3,800-capacity theater, all curated by Groot Hospitality and nightlife guru David Grutman. Notably, Fontainebleau managed to lure superstar DJs Tiesto and Zedd away from Resorts World’s Zouk Group.

On top of it all, the resort's rooftop pool deck will offer seven distinct pool experiences across six acres, promising a refreshing escape from the desert heat.

As Fontainebleau Las Vegas prepares for its grand debut, the hunt is on for over 6,500 employees to join its ranks. A five-day job fair focusing on food, beverage, and nightlife positions will commence on Monday, September 25, at Vū Las Vegas' production campus.
