In a groundbreaking move, Kambi has recently inked a partnership deal with Prairie Band Casino & Resort in Kansas, marking a significant milestone in the world of sports betting. This collaboration will see Kambi's cutting-edge sportsbook technology being introduced to the first-ever tribal sportsbook in the state.
The agreement, spanning multiple years, solidifies the bond between Kambi and the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation. As part of this venture, Kambi will implement its sportsbook within the expansive 35,000 square-foot casino, featuring an impressive array of 10 kiosks and four bar-top terminals.
Kristian Nylén, CEO and Co-Founder of Kambi, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, "We're extremely proud to collaborate with Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation's Casino and Resort as we continue to support tribal sports betting initiatives. Their esteemed reputation in Kansas, coupled with our award-winning sports betting technology, promises to deliver a unique experience for their existing patrons while simultaneously attracting a new demographic of enthusiasts."
The Prairie Band Casino & Resort has taken a pioneering step as the first tribal casino in Kansas to offer a sportsbook, following the legalization of sports betting in September 2022. Situated in close proximity to Topeka, the casino received approval earlier this year to host a sportsbook on tribal land.
Chris Garrow, Director of Gaming for Prairie Band Casino & Resort, commented, "Since the legalization of sports betting in Kansas last year, our guests have been eager to know when we would begin offering it. We've been inundated with inquiries, and now, we can finally provide a definitive answer. We are thrilled to introduce our retail sportsbook as yet another exciting amenity for our guests, allowing them to 'play their way.' This will undoubtedly be the ultimate destination for local sportsbook enthusiasts in Kansas."
