The Living Sky Casino played host to a heartwarming event during The Big One, as they not only provided the venue for Taillight Tuesday but also fired up the grills to serve hot dogs to attendees. Volunteers from the casino took charge of the SPCA Fundraiser Barbecue, where they sold hot dogs for just $5 each. The result? An impressive $2,515 raised for the Swift Current SPCA.

Ashley Peterson, the general manager of Living Sky Casino, was instrumental in organizing this charitable effort. Reflecting on the event, Peterson expressed her astonishment: "This past Tuesday was pretty incredible for us. We were prepared for a busy evening, but [The Big One] far surpassed any of our expectations or what we've seen from the Rogue Cruisers this season."

Yesterday, Peterson, along with Dustin Vipond and Cory Schultz from the Rogue Cruisers, had the honor of presenting a check to Joanne Schatkoski, the development manager for the Swift Current SPCA.

"We ran out of hot dogs and we ran out of buns," Peterson revealed. "We scrambled to see what we could get together, and made sure that we were raising as much funds for the SPCA as possible."

Living Sky Casino has a long history of supporting Taillight Tuesday by providing space for the free car show in their parking lot. They also distribute vouchers for attendees to enjoy games inside the casino at the end of each night. Since the inception of Taillight Tuesday, the Rogue Cruisers have found a welcoming home at Living Sky Casino.

Peterson shared her initial thoughts, saying, "I thought 'Oh, sure, we'll give you a couple of lanes in our parking lot. No big deal. That's easy for us, right?'. To see how it grew over week after week, with more people turning up and coming out, I had no idea there was such an appetite in the community for this type of event."

Looking ahead, Living Sky Casino is already planning to welcome the Rogue Cruisers back next year. Peterson is eager to continue this partnership, stating, "We would love to continue to be the home of Rogue Cruisers. There's always opportunities for us to be able to cross-promote, grow, and bounce ideas off of each other. We are open-minded and willing to work with the group in any way that they think might work for them."
