IGT Extends Contract with PMP for Malaysian Lottery Modernization

The partnership between IGT and PMP has been extended by a decade, signaling a significant step towards the modernization of the Malaysian lottery industry. IGT is set to provide PMP with its cutting-edge central lottery system known as Aurora, designed to streamline the business operations of the lottery.

Aurora, which is a part of the omnichannel solution called Omnia, will seamlessly integrate with PMP's existing dmcGO iLottery system. This strategic move aims to enhance the lottery experience for players, making it more engaging and convenient.

Tan Kong Han, Managing Director of PMP, expressed his confidence in the collaboration, saying, "Over the last 12 years, IGT has demonstrated its forward-looking lottery expertise by helping PMP introduce innovative and responsible, growth-driving lottery solutions into the market. IGT's sophisticated Aurora central system and advanced features, as well as its integration with our dmcGO platform, will help PMP provide our players with engaging and convenient lottery experiences over the next decade."

PMP will have access to a suite of tools offered by Aurora, including an administration portal application management hub and the Terminal Access Gateway. These tools are expected to optimize the operational efficiency of the lottery.

This collaboration follows a report earlier this year when SCCG Research partnered with Gambling Insider to explore gambling regulation in the Asian jurisdictions of Singapore and Malaysia. The renewal of the IGT-PMP contract is poised to bring about a transformative era in the Malaysian lottery landscape.
