In a show of solidarity and generosity, leading gaming industry organizations—the Association of Gaming Equipment Manufacturers (AGEM), the American Gaming Association (AGA), and JCM Global (JCM)—have come together to make a significant donation of $180,000 to the International Center for Responsible Gaming (ICRG).

The gaming industry raised a total of $2.6 million for ICRG
The launch ceremony took place in the lively atmosphere of the Global Gaming Expo (G2E), highlighting the industry's commitment to responsible gaming practices. This significant contribution is the result of funds raised at the highly acclaimed 24th AGEM & AGA Golf Classic, organized by JCM Global earlier this year. This event, a testament to the industry's commitment to social issues, consistently demonstrates its commitment to supporting ICRG's critical research initiatives aimed at understanding and combating problem gambling.

This significant donation marks a new milestone in the long-standing partnership between the gaming industry and ICRG. This year's contributions bring the total amount raised through the AGEM & AGA Golf Classic to over an impressive $2.6 million.

The event featured prominent industry figures including Dave Kubajak, senior vice president of sales, marketing and operations at JCM, and Daron Dorsey, executive director at AGEM.

Global gaming leaders will gather to share ideas, collaborate and innovate at G2E 2023
Taking place October 9-12, G2E is a gathering of distinguished commercial and breeding gaming professionals. The event included a highly anticipated keynote session at the Venetian Expo in Las Vegas, Nevada. Executives from leading companies such as MGM Resorts, Churchill Downs and Entain participated in a discussion of market trends, opportunities and future challenges in the gaming industry.

Another notable speaker at the G2E event was Tim Miller, Chief Executive of the UK Gambling Commission (UKGC), who highlighted the importance of collaboration between gambling regulators around the world. He stressed the need for regulators to hold operators accountable, especially when they engage in questionable practices in various markets.

Miller highlighted the UKGC's efforts to establish strong relationships with US regulators to enhance international cooperation and information sharing. He also emphasized the importance of joint efforts to combat unlicensed websites, demonstrating the effectiveness of cooperation with payment providers, game developers and search providers.

G2E also saw executives from Penn Entertainment and ESPN share their thoughts on the upcoming launch of ESPN Bet in November. ESPN Vice President of Sports and Fantasy Betting Mike Morrison reaffirmed ESPN's long-term commitment to sports betting while ruling out involvement in iGaming. Penn Entertainment CEO Jay Snowden laid out the strategy, emphasizing the integration of the ESPN brand and customer base.
