Pennsylvania Sees Gambling Revenue Surge in September

Retail Dominates with Slot Machines
In the realm of land-based gambling, retail slot machines remained the primary revenue generator, bringing in $199.9 million, a modest increase of 0.7% compared to the previous year. However, revenue from physical table games witnessed a 7.8% decline, totaling $75.2 million, compared to September 2022.

iGaming Takes the Lead
The most striking growth occurred in the realm of online gambling, or iGaming, with a staggering 41.5% increase in revenue, totaling $159.5 million. This represents an all-time high for the state, surpassing the previous record set in March.

Online Slot and Table Game Surge
Online slots revenue soared by 47.3%, reaching $114.7 million, while internet table games revenue increased by 31.7%, totaling $42.4 million. However, online poker revenue faced a slight dip, falling by 10.4% to $2.4 million.

Market Leaders
Hollywood Casino at Penn National led the online gambling market with $64.9 million in revenue in September. Valley Forge Casino Resort followed closely with $35.4 million, and Rivers Casino Philadelphia secured the third position with $29.2 million.
