Between June 18 and September 19, 2023, Kindred Group achieved a significant milestone in its quest for safer gambling practices. Harmful gambling accounted for 3.3% of their revenue during this period, a slight improvement from the previous quarter's 3.1%. Notably, this was the lowest harmful gambling revenue figure since Kindred's announcement in 2018, where they set the ambitious goal of generating zero revenue from harmful gambling by the end of 2023.

The company attributes this positive trend to their unwavering focus on detection and automated interventions. Their dedication to improving behavior after interventions is evident in the statistics. This quarter, they achieved an impressive 86.7% improvement in customer behavior, compared to 86.4% in the previous quarter and a mere 82.1% back in Q4 2022.

Kindred has been consistently implementing automated interventions and enhancing features in their safer gambling toolkit. These initiatives have collectively contributed to a more comprehensive responsible gambling journey across all of Kindred's brands.

Despite the progress made, Kindred acknowledges that there is still work to be done to ensure a safer gambling experience for all customers. The data for 2023 shows a consistent trend in customer behavior improvement after interventions. This serves as a promising sign that their efforts are moving in the right direction.

In the first quarter of 2020, harmful gambling accounted for 3.9% of Kindred's revenue, reaching as high as 4.7% later that year. However, the positive impact of their interventions was evident, with a customer behavior improvement rate of 77.3% in Q1 2020, although it declined to 64.9% in 2021.
