Truckee Gaming Expands Its Nevada Casino Portfolio

In a move that has sent ripples through the gaming industry, Truckee Gaming has successfully completed its acquisition of Rail City, a well-loved locals-oriented casino in Nevada. The deal, initially announced in March 2023, has been shrouded in secrecy regarding the financial aspects. This acquisition has added significant value to Truckee Gaming's assets, consolidating its presence in the region.

Rail City, with its sprawling 24,000 square feet of gaming space, featuring over 400 slot machines, a keno lounge, and dining options, has been a popular entertainment hub for the local community for many decades. This strategic addition has given Truckee Gaming a substantial boost, taking its slot machine count to over 2,600, further cementing its position as a key player in the Nevada gaming landscape.

Affinity CEO Andrei Scrivens expressed his confidence in the direction of their business, focusing on their remaining seven properties, Daily Racing Form, and future investment prospects. He praised Rail City's legacy, emphasizing its commitment to delivering entertainment and variety to its loyal customers.

The completion of this acquisition comes on the heels of a notable decline in slots revenue across Nevada in September. Despite this, overall gambling revenue managed to maintain a 1.6% year-on-year increase, reaching $1.27 billion. Slot machines, once again, emerged as the primary source of revenue in the state, contributing $814.6 million during September. However, this figure reflected a 5.1% decrease compared to the same period the previous year.
