Recent reports from 8 News Now have revealed that Yuxuan Leng, along with an unnamed second dealer from the Rampart Casino at Summerlin, are now facing criminal charges for their alleged involvement in a cheating scheme that allowed players to win big. The case came to light when a representative from the casino contacted the Nevada Gaming Control Board in May 2022, bringing this misconduct to their attention.
According to the casino representative, the suspicious activity arose when two regular baccarat players suddenly started winning significantly more than usual. Casino staff grew concerned and reviewed surveillance footage, which confirmed their suspicions. It was discovered that the dealers had been clandestinely revealing the playing cards to the players before the games concluded.
Official court documents provide evidence that the two dealers discreetly displayed the cards to the players, giving them the upper hand in deciding whether to increase their bets. This illicit cooperation occurred on six different occasions, resulting in the implicated players collectively winning over $5,000 each.
The Arrest of the Two Dealers:
Casino security personnel took immediate action by contacting the two baccarat players, subjecting them to interrogation as part of the investigation. One of the players confessed to colluding with the dealers and admitted to taking advantage of the insider information provided to him. On the other hand, the second player vehemently denied any involvement in the cheating scheme.
Likewise, the unnamed dealer denied any deliberate card exposure, asserting that his actions were due to his speedy dealing style and occasional sloppiness. He also claimed not to have received any money from the players. Despite his denial of involvement, he was still arrested by authorities.
Meanwhile, investigators were unable to reach Yuxuan Leng for questioning. Eventually, a warrant was issued for her arrest, and she was apprehended on November 2.
8 News Now has reported that Leng is expected to appear in court in December, while the status of the other dealer remains uncertain. This scandal serves as a stark reminder of the importance of maintaining integrity and fair play in the world of casino gaming.
