The PredictIt platform is buzzing with activity as bettors show renewed confidence in Nikki Haley's bid for the GOP nomination. The recent debate, marked by a heated exchange between Haley and Vivek Ramaswamy, founder of Roivant, has become a pivotal moment. Ramaswamy criticized Haley's foreign policy stance, particularly her call to ban TikTok, alleging it as a Chinese espionage tool. The irony was not lost when he pointed out that Haley's own daughter is an avid TikTok user, leading to a tense confrontation.

Haley's forceful response, labeling Ramaswamy as "scum," seems to have resonated positively with political bettors. Her PredictIt stock surged to 15 cents immediately after the debate and has since climbed to 16 cents. In contrast, Ramaswamy's shares held steady at 5 cents initially but rose to 6 cents in the following days. Ron DeSantis also saw an uptick, with his "yes" stock reaching 11 cents.

However, the PredictIt charts continue to be dominated by Donald Trump, whose "yes" stock stands at an impressive 72 cents. Despite not participating in the recent debates, Trump's lingering influence and a series of scandals have kept him in a commanding position.

DeSantis acknowledges Trump's current advantage but remains hopeful that the electorate will shift their support. The Florida Governor is determined to emerge as the GOP candidate, believing he can offer a stronger alternative. Meanwhile, in Florida, a legal battle looms as West Flagler prepares to challenge the Seminole Tribe. This comes on the heels of the tribe's relaunch of its online betting app, Hard Rock Bet, seemingly aiming to establish online betting as a fait accompli.
