KSA Targets Persistent Illegal Bingo Operation

The Dutch Gambling Authority (KSA) has once again taken action against an organization hosting illegal bingo events, emphasizing its commitment to regulating the gambling market. The regulator previously intervened against the "Dordtse Queens" operation, which advertised bingo on Facebook.

Meta's Intervention and Subsequent Violations

In response to KSA's initial crackdown, Meta, the parent company of Facebook, took down the pages associated with the illegal bingo. However, subsequent investigations by KSA revealed that the same organization continued its illegal activities across other pages, attracting hundreds, including minors.

Prizes Confiscated in Dordrecht Raid

KSA inspectors identified a planned physical bingo event in Dordrecht, where around 200 people were in attendance. During the raid, prizes such as branded clothing, bags, and shoes were confiscated. Dutch law permits bingo only under strict conditions, including restricted participation within closed circles.

KSA's Struggle Against Illegal Gambling

This case is part of KSA's broader efforts to combat illegal gambling in the Dutch market. In a recent case, MKC Limited faced a €900,000 fine for offering gambling services in violation of the Dutch Betting and Gaming Act. The group allowed Dutch residents to play on its unlicensed Betworld247 site, ignoring the requirement for local licensing.
