The Sphere, inspired by its Las Vegas counterpart, is a luminous music venue capable of projecting images on its surface. While its design captivates audiences, Khan argues that such luminosity clashes with London's lifestyle and could be environmentally unstable due to high energy consumption.
MSG's Change of Plans:
MSG, disappointed by Khan's reversal, had initially unveiled its London project in 2018. Khan's initial support waned when the proposal clashed with the London Plan. Estimates indicated potential disruption to 61 homes and 177 student rooms, ultimately leading to the rejection of the Sphere in London.

The decision found support from the Green Party and Labour representatives, who echoed Khan's concerns about the project's impact on the local community. They see the rejection as positive news for residents.
