In a major milestone for Mohegan, the soft launch will unveil three towers, over 10 restaurants, and a groundbreaking multi-purpose arena. Notably, visitors will have access to the innovative “Aurora” digital entertainment street and the impressive “Splash Bay,” a glass-domed indoor water park.

Subsequent opening phases will introduce the “Inspire Mall” and a foreigner-exclusive casino in Q1 2024, followed by the unveiling of the outdoor entertainment facility “Discovery Park,” a food court, and an exhibition center in Q2.

Mohegan Tribe and Mohegan Management Board chairman James Gessner expressed gratitude to the Korean government for their collaboration, emphasizing the positive impact on the local and regional economies. President of Mohegan Inspire, Chen Si, highlighted the significance of the soft launch as a crucial step towards establishing the resort as a global entertainment destination.

It is important to note that Mohegan's gambling activities will be limited to non-citizens, as stipulated by Korean law. The resort, when fully operational, aims to be the largest integrated resort in Northeast Asia, generating a substantial portion of revenue from non-gaming business.

The recent appointments of Chen Si as president and Wade Howk as chief operating officer signify strategic preparations for the soft launch and the subsequent full opening. Mohegan's CEO, Ray Pineault, underscored the importance of combining gaming and non-gaming facilities, tailored to the unique market dynamics of Korea.
