The Casino Scam Conspiracy:
In an audacious scheme, 36-year-old Jordan Anthony Rondell attempted to swindle the Dakota Sioux Casino in South Dakota, aiming for a $10,000 jackpot. Rondell collaborated with local dealers Fem Gill and Jeremy Brown, playing at tables where his accomplices dealt the cards. The deceit involved payments for losing and pushed hands, with Rondell managing up to three simultaneous $100 bets.
The Complicit Partners:
Even the pit boss, Lito Bolocon, was part of the conspiracy, willingly turning a blind eye to the cheating attempts in exchange for a promised share of the winnings. Their fraudulent activities were unveiled on New Year’s Eve of 2015, leading to a six-month prison sentence for conspiracy and an $8,700 restitution order.
Rondell’s Continued Crimes:
The saga didn’t end there. In early 2023, Rondell resorted to intimidating his wife, pressuring her to lie about a non-existent back condition in a federal court proceeding. Prosecutors discovered that he had violated the terms of his release and coached his wife to provide false testimony. Instead of freedom, Rondell received an additional three years in prison and a year of supervised release.
