EPIC, MLB, and Entain Foundation US Join Forces to Tackle Gambling Issues in Minor Baseball

EPIC Global Solutions, MLB, and Entain Foundation US have united forces to combat gambling-related harm in minor league baseball. This strategic alliance will focus on safeguarding young players who may encounter the perils of gambling without adequate support.

EPIC Global Solutions, now under a new name, will play a pivotal role by providing educational resources and organizing responsible gambling and mental health seminars. These initiatives aim to equip minor league players and staff with the knowledge and tools to shield themselves from gambling-related harm and unauthorized betting activities.

Entain Foundation US will offer essential financial support, enabling EPIC to deliver comprehensive educational sessions. This funding ensures that the curriculum is robust, and participants receive top-notch care and training.

MLB's VP of Sports Betting & Compliance, Quest Meeks, emphasizes the importance of EPIC's program in educating and protecting players against the growing threat of gambling, especially for young athletes. Meeks stated, "Our younger minor league players, in particular, are coming into the league at a time when mobile sports betting is an increasingly prominent part of the sports ecosystem. We want to help those players avoid gambling-related pitfalls that can derail not only their careers but also their day-to-day lives."
