Betfred Extends Epsom Partnership, Pledging Ongoing Support

Betfred, the famous UK bookmaker, and The Jockey Club, the largest commercial horse racing organization in the UK, have decided to continue working together. This partnership began in April 2023, when Betfred became the sponsor of The Oaks and The Derby at Epsom Downs. This collaboration laid the foundation for their future endeavors in the world of horse racing.

Starting in 2024, the iconic two-day flat race at Epsom Downs will be officially known as The Betfred Derby Festival. This change highlights Betfred's commitment to this prestigious event. The partnership extension secures Betfred's involvement with The Jockey Club until at least 2026. In addition to the naming rights, Betfred will support an extra race on each day of the Festival. This brings the total number of sponsored races across the two days to six, enhancing the experience for both participants and spectators.

Founded in 1967 by Fred Done, Betfred has become the largest independent bookmaker in the UK, with 1,400 high street shops. The company's global presence includes operations in South Africa and the USA.
