In a surprising turn of events, a robbery suspect was apprehended at the Horseshoe Casino in Shelbyville, Indiana. The suspect, a 34-year-old resident of Indianapolis with the initials M.C.S., had allegedly committed a robbery at a gas station earlier in the week.

Gas Station Robbery

The incident unfolded on a Wednesday morning when the Fishers Police Department received a call regarding a robbery at a Circle K gas station on 9611 Allisonville Rd. The suspect, wielding a claimed firearm, threatened the gas station employee around 5:55 AM, demanding money from the register.

Fortunately, the gas station employee complied with the demands, and the suspect fled with an undisclosed sum. Thankfully, the employee remained unharmed and promptly contacted 911, even managing to catch a glimpse of the suspect's vehicle.

Identifying the Suspect

Law enforcement swiftly reviewed surveillance footage, aiding in the identification of the suspect's car. Utilizing the FLOCK/License Plate Reader system, Fishers Police Department officers traced the vehicle to the Horseshoe Casino in Shelbyville.

Arrest and Recovery

Working in collaboration with the Indiana Gaming Commission and Shelbyville Police Department Indiana, the authorities apprehended the suspect at the casino. Upon searching the suspect's vehicle, they discovered money matching the stolen amount from the gas station, as well as clothing matching the description provided by the gas station employee. The 34-year-old suspect admitted to the crime during questioning.
