Sportradar Extends Integrity Agreement with AFC

Sportradar, a leader in sports data and technology solutions, has announced the renewal of its long-term integrity agreement with the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). This extension, signed on January 11 in Doha, reaffirms both organizations' dedication to upholding the integrity of professional soccer. The initial integrity partnership between Sportradar and the AFC was established back in 2013.

The extended agreement highlights Sportradar's continued involvement in addressing integrity matters for the AFC, specifically focusing on combating issues like match manipulation. To achieve this, Sportradar will utilize its advanced technological capabilities, incorporating cutting-edge AI and machine learning solutions.

The timing of this extension is significant, coinciding with the commencement of the 2023 AFC Asian Cup in Qatar. This prestigious event, featuring 24 top Asian teams, will run from January 12 to February 10. Sportradar's extended partnership with the AFC adds an extra layer of security to safeguard the competition's integrity.

Representatives from both Sportradar and the AFC have expressed their satisfaction with the extended agreement. AFC's president, Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa, commended Sportradar's decade-long commitment to combatting match manipulation in Asian soccer. Sportradar's CEO, Carsten Koerl, emphasized the role of technology in protecting the integrity of sports and announced further advancements, including exploring AI and machine learning solutions.

In addition to their collaboration with the AFC, Sportradar has recently joined forces with Tennis Data Innovations (TDI), a joint venture of ATP and ATP Media, to develop new tennis betting technology. This move underscores Sportradar's ongoing commitment to using technology to maintain the integrity of sports competitions worldwide.
