In a significant development for the gaming and lottery industry, International Game Technology (IGT) has announced a partnership extension with the Virginia Lottery. This partnership, which has been in place for over two decades, will now continue through October 2033, bringing exciting changes and enhancements to the Virginia Lottery experience.

Under this extended partnership, the Virginia Lottery will enjoy an array of benefits, including an upgraded central lottery system, an improved communications network, and the introduction of new, engaging point-of-sale terminals. These enhancements are expected to be rolled out by October 2025, promising a more seamless and enjoyable gaming experience for players.
One notable addition is the deployment of IGT's latest central retail system, Aurora. This will replace 5,500 retail terminals with the advanced Retailer Pro S2, offering high-speed functionality and the capacity to handle large volumes of data.
