Star Entertainment Group Appoints Janelle Campbell as Sydney CEO

In a significant development for the Star Entertainment Group, Janelle Campbell has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer for Star Sydney, Australia's second-largest casino. Campbell brings over 20 years of experience in the casino industry, having previously held senior roles in Macau and Oaks Hotels and Resorts.

Expressing her enthusiasm for the role, Campbell stated, "I am excited to be joining Star at a pivotal moment in the company’s history. I'll help shape the future for a venue that has been an iconic Sydney destination for almost 30 years." Campbell's appointment completes the CEO recruitment phase for Star destinations in Sydney, Gold Coast, and Brisbane. This restructuring aims to demonstrate the company's suitability to operate its land-based casinos in Queensland, following sanctions in December 2022. Star now has until May 31, 2024, to meet the demands of Queensland authorities and ensure the successful future of its operations.
