Mikolaj Cymerman Appointed as CCO of Entain CEE and Joins STS Advisory Role

Mikolaj Cymerman recently shared exciting news via his LinkedIn profile. He announced his new responsibilities as the Chief Commercial Officer of Entain CEE and his involvement as an advisor on the board of STS Holdings. This move comes after his previous role as the head of corporate development within the regional division of Entain. Cymerman boasts an impressive career history, having served as a business development manager and commercial manager at Entain before this new appointment. His past experiences also include roles as a sales executive at IMG Media and a similar position at Decade Sports.

Entain's influence in Central and Eastern Europe has been on the rise. In August 2023, the company successfully acquired STS Holdings for an impressive £750 million (€879 million/$955 million). This acquisition solidified STS as an integral part of the Entain family. The deal, which was initiated in June of the same year, marked a significant milestone for both companies.

STS Holdings underwent several management changes recently. Radim Haluza was appointed as the new Chief Executive, simultaneously holding the position of CEO of Entain CEE. Meanwhile, Mateusz Juroszek, who had a long-standing tenure as STS's Chief Executive, transitioned to the role of Chairman of the Supervisory Board.

Entain's venture into the CEE market has been dynamic. This expansion began with the acquisition of a 75% stake in Croatia's leading market player, SuperSport, for €690 million in August 2022. At that time, Entain declared its intention to continue pursuing acquisitions in the CEE region. Mikolaj Cymerman, reflecting on these developments, emphasized that STS is just the first step for Entain CEE, hinting at further exciting developments in the future.
