Lindahl Bids Farewell
Niklas Lindahl, who served as the global chief marketing officer at LeoVegas Group, has decided to step down from his position. Having been a part of the company for almost six years, Lindahl's departure marks the end of an era at LeoVegas.
Career Journey
Lindahl's journey at LeoVegas has been quite remarkable. He initially joined the company in April 2018 as the managing director for Italy. Over time, he assumed various roles, including head of MGA markets and general manager for Europe and North America. In August 2021, Lindahl took on the role of global chief marketing officer, the most senior position he held during his tenure.
Acknowledgment and Gratitude
In a heartfelt LinkedIn post, Lindahl expressed his gratitude to his colleagues at LeoVegas. He thanked them for their support and described his time at LeoVegas as the highlight of his career. Lindahl specifically mentioned Gustaf Hagman, LeoVegas CEO, for providing him with the opportunity to enter the industry and for serving as a role model in leadership.
Busy Times at LeoVegas
Lindahl's departure comes at a busy period for LeoVegas, with several significant developments taking place. In August, LeoVegas partnered with MGM Resorts International to introduce the BetMGM brand in the UK, utilizing LeoVegas technology. This partnership followed LeoVegas's acquisition by MGM Resorts in September 2022. Additionally, LeoVegas recently completed the acquisition of a majority stake in games developer Push Gaming.
Expansion into the Netherlands
Late last year, LeoVegas made headlines by reentering the Dutch market with the launch of LeoVegas.nl. The platform offers a variety of online casino games, live casino, and sports betting. LeoVegas secured a new license in the Netherlands through its LeoVegas Gaming business, signaling its commitment to the region's regulated online gambling market.
