In a significant development, Winners Malta Operations saw its gaming license canceled by the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) effective January 11, 2024. While the MGA did not disclose the exact reason for this decision, they have outlined a series of steps that Winners Malta Operations must now take in response.

First and foremost, the operator is required to settle all outstanding fees owed to the MGA within five days of the license cancellation. Furthermore, they must refund any remaining funds to their customers and provide a comprehensive report to the regulatory body, confirming that this process has been successfully completed. Additionally, Winners Malta Operations is mandated to remove all references to their Malta license from their websites.

It's worth noting that Winners Malta Operations does have the option to appeal this license cancellation decision, as stated by the MGA.

This incident is not an isolated case, as the MGA has been actively clamping down on rule violations in the industry. Just recently, the MGA also revoked the licenses of Genesis Global and Rush Gaming. Genesis Global had previously faced a suspension in January last year, and the full cancellation of their license means they can no longer engage in gambling activities under that permit. The operator had been operating 23 websites under this license, including well-known platforms like Vegasoo.com and Casinojoy.com.

Furthermore, Rush Gaming, which runs the Fansbet.com and Onebet.com websites, had its license suspended until further notice. Lastly, Betago's license was canceled last week, with the MGA instructing them to return all player funds and remove any references to the permit from their websites. The MGA's recent actions demonstrate a commitment to enforcing strict regulations within the gaming industry in Malta.
