Positioned in eastern Daviess County, the venue sprawls across 20 acres of land, strategically situated at the corner of US Highway 60 and Wrights Landing Road, providing easy accessibility for both local and out-of-town visitors.

Investment and Economic Impact

The estimated investment for Owensboro Racing & Gaming stands at a substantial $100 million, with the venue slated to welcome its inaugural visitors by early 2025, albeit with no confirmed opening date yet. The project is anticipated to generate around 200 temporary construction jobs and subsequently offer 150 permanent positions, contributing an estimated $125 million annually to the regional economy.

Entertainment Offerings

Visitors can anticipate a plethora of entertainment options at Owensboro Racing & Gaming, including 600 state-of-the-art historical racing machines, simulcast wagering, and a retail sportsbook. Moreover, the venue will boast an array of food and beverage selections, promising a comprehensive entertainment experience for its patrons.

Strategic Partnerships and Expansion

The announcement regarding Owensboro Racing & Gaming follows CDI’s strategic partnership agreement with SAP America, solidifying its foothold in the Kentucky horse racing industry. Bill Carstanjen, CEO of CDI, expressed enthusiasm for the project, emphasizing its potential to enhance the horse racing circuit in Kentucky and contribute to the local economy.

Annex Operation and Fundraising

Owensboro Racing & Gaming will operate as an annex of Ellis Park Racing & Gaming, aiming to support the traditional summer racing meet at Ellis Park while providing a premier gaming and entertainment experience for Daviess County residents and visitors alike.
