Rush Gaming's Licence Cancellation
Rush Gaming, the operator behind Fansbet.com and Onebet.com, has been dealt a significant blow with the cancellation of its license in Malta. The Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) made the decision to revoke Rush Gaming's authorization, effective immediately. This action comes just two months after Rush Gaming received an initial suspension.
Lack of Disclosure
The MGA has not provided a detailed explanation for the cancellation of Rush Gaming's license. However, the authority had previously stated that licenses could be suspended if operators violate gambling regulations or laws in Malta. Rush Gaming has been instructed to inform all players about the cancellation and settle any outstanding fees. Despite this setback, Rush Gaming has the option to appeal the decision.
Scope of Rush Gaming's License
Rush Gaming's license covered various gambling activities, including casino games, controlled skill games, and fixed-odds offerings such as live betting.
MGA's Vigilance
The cancellation of Rush Gaming's license adds to a string of recent actions taken by the MGA against online gambling operators. Earlier in the year, Super7Plus became the fifth business within two weeks to have its license revoked. Additionally, Charles Mizzi has assumed the role of CEO at the MGA, succeeding Carl Brincat, who resigned after two years in the position. Mizzi brings extensive experience, having previously served as CEO of Residency Malta Agency and in senior roles at BNF Bank.
