The resort, which will open in 2026, will be the largest hotel in all of Georgia with 600 rooms and suites, restaurants, a spa, various pools and a children's play area. It is located in the beach area of Batumi.
The resort is owned by large investment company Pontus Capital and, according to the company, promises "world-class gaming in a large casino."
It takes about three and a half hours to get to Batumi from Dubai by direct flight.
"The 600-key facility marks a major milestone for Rotana as we continue to expand our footprint internationally with new regions, and we look forward to the successful launch of the facility," said Guy Hutchinson, President and CEO of Rotana.
Irakli Varshalomidze, Managing Director of Pontus Capital involved in the launch, added: “Batumi is a four-season city with mesmerizing natural beauty, offering visitors an inviting place to experience Georgia. Georgian culture and language are deeply connected to the Arab world, which makes our partnership with Rotana a natural one."
