Delaware's iGaming Surge
Delaware's online gambling market witnessed a substantial surge in revenue during February, marking a significant year-on-year increase.
In February, the state's iGaming revenue soared to $3.9 million, marking an impressive 254.6% surge from the same period last year. Notably, this figure also outpaced January's revenue by 14.7%.
Video lottery games emerged as the frontrunner, contributing $2.8 million to the total revenue, while online table games accounted for $1.1 million during the month.
Rising Betting Activity
The betting activity in Delaware also experienced a notable uptick, with players wagering a total of $117.2 million online in February. This figure reflects a substantial 208.4% increase compared to the previous year and a 13.5% rise from January.
Delaware Park emerged as the top performer in the iGaming sector, generating $2.1 million in revenue during the month, followed by Harrington Raceway with $1.0 million and Bally’s Dover with $717,119.
Sports Betting Momentum
In parallel, Delaware's sports betting sector witnessed a surge in revenue, amounting to $560,449 in February, representing an impressive 82.8% increase from the previous year.
Despite this growth, the revenue was 68.6% lower than January's total of $1.8 million. However, the betting handle reached $13.8 million, indicating a significant 236.6% increase from February 2023.
Delaware Park led the sports betting market with $473,002 in revenue, followed by Harrington Raceway with $133,989 and Bally’s Dover with $82,984.
The report also highlighted a $129,526 loss from retailers engaged in sports betting, which slightly impacted the overall revenue total for the month.
